Do I fit the description of descendant?

Do I fit the description of descendant?
I want to apply to the Hispanic Scholarship fund but there requirement is as follows: " You or your family (parents, grandparents) must be descended from at least one of the following countries: Spain, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Cuba, Puerto Rico, or the Dominican Republic. Students from Brazil are eligible to apply. However, students from Belize, Guyana, Portugal, Suriname and French Guiana are not considered Hispanic. " My mother is from Montevideo, Uruguay, born and raised. Her parents are from Spain and moved to Uruguay. But I was born in the U.S. and am half Italian and half Spanish (dad is Italian). Since my mother is 100% Hispanic and I am only half, do I still qualify as a descendant of Uruguay?

For something a little different, why not consider one of the G30 programs in Japan. Many universities there offer degree courses taught entirely in English, while you would also be able to learn Japanese. Generally, they low fees (compared to US schools), small class sizes, and often they also have scholarships available.

Dont be stupid, the education here is the worst.

First of all you need to learn the language of the country you are going to. You can look up some information on internet about Universities in Colombia. There are some Universities that are connected to the USA ,Canada and some other countries. I am Colombian and the university i go to is a pretty good University and is not expensive.

Getting into med school in canada?

Getting into med school in canada?
I have lived in the US since i was four years old, but due to a family emergency I must go live with my father in Bogota, Colombia. I will be a senior in an american college prep high-school, but I was wondering if this will affect my chances of getting in to a good pre-med school in the US or Canada. Are these schools good with accepting foreign students?

Getting into Ivy league school?

Getting into Ivy league school?
I am a B student, SAT 1500, ACT 22 (yes i know they are poor grades). The only thing I have to my benefit is a good essay, great extracurricular activities and the only thing that separates me from other people is I started a new sport at our school, which was a rugby team. We are now an official school sport. I applied to Ivy leagues just to see if by some miracle I could get in. I have had interviews with Duke and Princeton, but not Yale or Colombia. Any Chance of getting in?

I think it is unlikely. There are, however, many good colleges that are not Ivy League. You should still be able to get into a good school.
