Fiance visa affidavit of support?
My name is Javier and I am a united states citizen throught naturalization. My fiance is currently living in Colombia South America and i would like to bring her over the States to marry her. I applied for a 129f or fiance visa that was approved a few months ago. Yesterday she received a package with the documents and forms neccesary to send to the Colombian Embassy. One of these form is the I-134 which is an Affidavit of Support, I am currently a full time student and I generate my income from VA educational benefits (mongomery G.I Bill chaper 30) I am worry because in this form they are asking for proof of employment and salary and since I do not work it is imposible for me to to fill out. My fiance has a very close friend here in the United States who is willing to Sponsor her, Can this person sponsor her? if so, what other form do we need? thanks for you support regarding to this matter.

You can file an I-134 for yourself as the primary sponsor (who does not meet the guidelines), and add a secondary sponsor (who does meet). Remember that you can add liquid assets to your salary. Check if you meet the 125% poverty level in income (which includes benefits) plus assets (e.g. savings) divided by 5.

You are more than welcome to find a sponsor. my son's godfather is going throught the same thing right now. his wife has previous children bringing the family to 5. she doesnt make enought to sponsor him, so they found anotherperson to sponsor(my father). and a person can sponsor more than one case. as long as they make enough. the person sponsoring would fill out the application I-134.

Vancouver or Edmonton for Education?
Vancouver or Edmonton for Education?
Im a bit confused about a selection at the moment, im trying to go to Canada for my higher studies however i have an issue as to selection of cities. Firstly i have in mind BCIT (British Colombia Institute of Technology) ans NAIT (North Alberta Institute of Technology), one is in Vancouver and other in Edmonton. How my question is which is cheaper to live in as a student from the two cities. If anyone also know could you give a heads up on the quality of both institutions?

NAIT in edmonton will be a lot cheaper when in vancouver is considered the most expensive city in canada and for the training it really depends what are you doing both are really good

Is Rutgers a good school?
I will be a sophomore in high school this year, I am an all honors student and is captain on the track team, i have a job @ Kumon, and I volunteer. However, my GPA from freshman year is a 3.7 (unweighted). I want to go to Rutgers for the first 4 years and then get into a top law school. If I am the top of my class in Rutgers could I get a scholarship from Colombia or other high-ranking law schools?

The fact is, where you go for your undergraduate degree doesn't matter. What you need is a good transcript. If you're at the top of your class, that's fantastic. Rutgers from what I've heard is a good school. I believe it's a Tier 1 school.
