what can i say to him?
okay, so there's this exchange student in some of my classes from Colombia, his name is Juan, and he's really cute (my friends and i kinda think i might have a crush). I'm really trying to get my self up to introduce myself to him and talk to him, but what can i say to him specifically? school's been in four like 5 days now, and he hasn't made any friends except for an indian exchange student also in our class. the only day i can talk to him this week would be tomorrow (thursday). i'm not a very out going person and i've got nothing that is interesting enough to say, but i want something that could keep up conversation... by the looks of it, he doesn't talk to much either. If you could help that would be greatly appreciated! thanks, LindsayFelipe

Just go up to him and say, "Hi! I'm Lindsay." (: I'm sure it'll be easy from there.

Just go up to him, introduce yourself, ask him how he's liking it here, offer him help/advice. Then tell him about yourself as well, it's like quid pro quo.

start out by asking him to describe where he is from. If he just gives short answers, you will have to keep him going by asking more questions. Ask him if he is familiar with the states. You might want to think of questions before you talk to him and make sure there are alot so that the conversation keeps going. Let him talk with out interrupting. Tell him if he has any questions at any time while here, he can ask you. Good Luck!

well as corny as it may seem, start of with hello and then introduce yourself. then be like, "so how do u like the states so far?" (or the name of the town u live in would be best). then ask about the family he's staying with and little questions here and there. offer to show him around town and the cool spots where u live. once your class is over say bye and "see you tomorrow". the next day say hello and start talking to him when you get a chance. sooner or later you and Juan are gonna be friends and talking a lot.
